Aninri Youth Coalition Adopts Hon. Magnus Edeh, Pledges to Canvas, Vote and Protect His Mandate

On Sunday, 23rd August 2026, a delegation of the Aninri Youth Coalition, led by its Coordinator, Comr. Okoro Ignatius Chukwumerije, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Magnus Nnaemeka Edeh, Member representing Aninri in the Enugu State House of Assembly at his home Town Nenwe, the delegates comprised representatives drawn from the 10 political wards of Aninri Local Government, including the various ward coordinators of the coalition.
In his address, the Coordinator introduced the Aninri Youth Coalition and highlighted its organizational structure and strength across the 10 political wards. He noted that the coalition had carefully observed some of the quiet but impactful interventions of Hon. Magnus Edeh as a legislator and had rated his performance high.Comr. Okoro announced that the coalition had resolved to canvas, vote, and protect His votes (Hon. Magnus Nnaemeka Edeh) across the 153 polling units in Aninri Local Government during the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
He urged members of the coalition not to be deceived by strangers whose intentions and commitments to Ndi Aninri cannot be trusted, while also appealing to Hon. Magnus Edeh to continue accommodating more youths in his programmes and create opportunities for unemployed graduates across Aninri.
Other speakers, including Mr. Egbo Martins, Engr. Chijioke Izuchukwu, Comr. Mbah Anthony, Hon. Azubuike Kingsley, Comr. Kalu Chinwendu, Mr. Udenta Sunday, Prince Chukwu Reginald, and Mr. Festus Obasi, Mis.Chukwu Mabel assured Hon. Magnus Edeh of the coalition's honest support across the wards and polling units.
In respond, Hon. Magnus Edeh thanked the delegates and used the opportunity to highlight some of his interventions and legislative efforts, including facilitating employment opportunities for Ndi Aninri in various ministries and parastatals, including Parklane Hospital, IMT, ESUT, ESCET and the Ministry of Agriculture, stating that he had facilitated grants for 92 indigenes of Aninri, attracted a road project from Oduma to Nkanu East, and NHR project to Nenwe, which, upon completion, will provide access to comprehensive health insurance services.
He further disclosed that bills come to the house as an Executive bill after thorough process, he invited the coordinator to come to his office to see some of the documents containing different bills he has initiated, including motions seeking urgent intervention for communities affected by flooding, particularly in Okpanku and Oduma, where crops were destroyed at the time and relief materials were supplied to the affected areas through emergency management interventions.
Hon. Magnus equally announced that efforts were underway to bring in over 1,000 bags of fertilizer for distribution to farmers across Aninri.
Hon. Magnus Edeh expressed appreciation to Comr. Okoro Ignatius Chukwumerije and members of the Aninri Youth Coalition for their thoughtfulness and their decision support, urged them to as well support all APC candidates expecially governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to sustain the development going on in Enugu State.
He said he is always encouraged when he saw progressive young people coming together for the development of their communities. He urged the coalition to sustain its activities in the interest of Aninri youths and encouraged members to be constructive and objective in their judgment, drawing from his own experience as a former Coordinator of the Enugu State Youth Coalition, Hon. Magnus shared some of the lessons and benefits of youth organisation. He promised to work closely with the coalition henceforth, said the Aninri Youth Coalition would be given a quota in opportunities and programmes available through his office.
It was indeed a great and memorable moment as Aninri youths and their representative shared ideas, discussed opportunities, and strengthened their commitment to the development of Aninri.
